Mike is a native Californian who has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. He attended Colorado Mountain College in Leadville Colorado before moving to Dallas and beginning a career in the tile industry.

For the last 26 years, Mike has worked for an independent distributor, a large tile contractor and for nearly 20 years with American Marazzi Tile in Dallas. Mike served as the regional sales manager for the Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado territory during the acquisition of Marazzi by Mohawk and the subsequent integration with Dal-Tile.

“I felt a strong desire to go back to something smaller and more personal”, so he started Finishes along with his long time Marazzi colleague Daniel Newton. “My goal is simply to do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. Deliver quality, leading edge products on time. Our job is to Enhance the buying experience and have some fun at the same time”

Mike resides in Pottsboro Texas on the shores of beautiful Lake Texoma with his wife and 3 kids and is an avid sailor, skier and surfer. “Finishes will be a great company, ‘Who are those guys?’ is not just our motto, it’s a statement that were out doing something different and new in the industry”

Mike was recently elected to the Texas Tile Hall of Fame in 2014. During his acceptance speech Mike was famously quoted as saying “ Nobody has done more with less than me”.
